Take exit 27 off of I-91to Route 2 east. After the "Entering Gill" sign, turn right for Turners Falls. This will take you across the Connecticut River and above the dam. Just after crossing the bridge look right to see the Great Falls Discovery Center, where parking is available or if you wish to start from the beginning of the trail, turn left down First St just past the Town Hall. This will take you past Unity Park on the right to a gravel parking lot on the left where the trail begins. Trail ends at Unity Park in the Village of Turners Falls in Montague, MA.

Off-Leash Dog Trails in the Berkshires Mount Greylock State Reservation: The Mt. Greylock primitive backpacking camping area offers a car free environment with spectacular views and private wooded sites. At 3,491 feet, Mt. Greylock is the highest peak in Massachusetts. Acquired by the Commonwealth in 1898, it was Massachusetts' first state park. For years, Mt. Greylock has inspired artists and writers, including authors Herman Melville and Henry David Thoreau. After arriving at the summit you may see a panorama of five states. |

Off-Leash Dog Trails in the Berkshires Kennedy Park is a multi use area. Expect to see hikers, skiers, dogs, mountain bikers and horses. Volunteers perform many hours of trail maintenance as well as grooming the trails in winter. Parking is available at the Church on the Hill except during Sunday services and weddings. Parking is also available at the West Dugway Road entrance. Additional parking is located at the Department of Public Works |

Directions:To reach the Berkshire Mall trailhead, take the Massachusetts Turnpike/Interstate 90 to Exit 2 in Lee, then follow US 20 west to US 7 north for 11 miles to downtown Pittsfield. From the Park Square rotary, follow East Street/Merrill Road for 3.25 miles to the intersection of State Routes 9 and 8. Continue straight through the intersection on SR 8 north for 1.5 miles to the Lanesborough–Pittsfield line. Turn left at the light for rail-trail parking at the Berkshire Mall. |
